Mr. Hamilton has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America in the area of condemnation and eminent domain since 2012. Since being licensed to practice law in 1979, he has worked on numerous eminent domain matters, representing landowners, companies and governmental entities empowered to condemn real estate. His experience includes the acquisition of right of way for a crude oil pipeline extending from the Iowa border to Wood River, Illinois. He also served as the primary lawyer tasked with the responsibility to organize the planning and acquisition of real estate for major expansion of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District’s Bissell Point Treatment Plant in the city of St. Louis. More recently, he has been responsible for organizing, prosecuting and conducting jury trials in relation to two street and roadway improvement projects for the city of Cottleville, Missouri. In addition, Mr. Hamilton has represented landowners seeking just compensation for public takings, two of which resulted in verdicts or settlements in excess of $1 million.

In addition to Mr. Hamilton, Scott Williams has experience in representing clients on issues relating to public takings. Mr. Williams has for the past decade represented the city of St. Peters in connection with eminent domain acquisitions and other public takings, including negotiation and litigations.
